Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s National Advocacy Network has more than 250 trained volunteers across Canada, which increases our reach to actively influence public policy related to cystic fibrosis nationwide.
Our trained advocates can have a significant impact on the way CF issues are addressed in Canada. Working with CF Canada’s guidance, training and support, advocates build relationships with elected and non-elected officials in order to increase support for programs, services and policies that can improve the health and quality of life for people with cystic fibrosis.
Being a volunteer advocacy for the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Canada National Advocacy Network is an opportunity to collaborate with people in your local, provincial and national CF community.
We welcome new advocates! For information on becoming an advocate, or if you have questions, contact us at advocacy@cysticfibrosis.ca. Or check out our Take Action page for the latest on how the CF community can support our advocacy work.
The National Advocacy Network provides training, coaching and mentorship. Advocacy volunteers are briefed and well prepared for all advocacy activities and have the material they need to support these activities.
Advocacy volunteers attend meetings with elected and non-elected officials both federally and provincially, are active and present at legislative and parliamentary events, government consultations, and participate in social media and media relations activity.
Because it unites us as a community! Together we can advocate for access to better medicines, treatments and care for people with CF.
We are looking for anyone who wants to help make a difference in the lives of those living with CF in Canada.
All you need is the desire to help make change happen. No experience needed. Training opportunities, learning, and mentorship are all part of the program.
