Camp Fromaway Summer 2025

Camp Fromaway is a 5-day free virtual summer camp for youth living with cystic fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis Canada is proud to be partnering with Upopolis to offer this incredible opportunity to our community. 

Camp Fromaway provides campers aged 12+ with a fun summer camp experience as they will partake in exciting daily camp activities. Youth across Canada living with cystic fibrosis (CF) can form strong connections with their peers who share similar life experiences. This can provide a sense of belonging and reduce feelings of isolation within the CF community.  

Beyond having fun and making connections, youth are also exposed to excellent mentorship. Camp Fromaway is led by a certified child life specialist and co-facilitated by young adults with lived cystic fibrosis experience. These mentors provide a safe space for youth to participate in open discussions and share valuable information about living with this disease.  

Date: July 14 – 18, 2025  

Time: 90 minutes to 2 hours daily (time TBD)

Location: Online via Zoom

Introducing Upopolis:  

Upopolis, part of Canadian charity Kids’ Health Links Foundation, is reliant on donor support to sustain its impactful programs. At Upopolis they strive to empower adolescents living with chronic conditions, grief, mental health, and other life challenges. Their programs improve the lives and help youth cope with the daily challenges they may face.

Become a co-facilitator:  

To ensure Camp Fromaway is a success, our partner Upopolis, is looking for co-facilitators. This volunteer experience is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of youth living with Cystic Fibrosis. If you are aged 20-23, have lived Cystic Fibrosis experience, and strong leadership skills, become a co-facilitator today.
