Elevate is an online community of hundreds of people across Canada affected by cystic fibrosis. Your lived experience matters and it can help shape our work. When you join, you can share what it’s really like through opportunities such as surveys, advisory groups, and other projects, whenever it works for you.

What is Elevate?
Elevate is a way for people whose lives are impacted by cystic fibrosis to share their voices.
As people with lived experience, you bring valuable insight into what it’s really like. Through Elevate, you can choose to share your experiences, priorities, and ideas in ways that work for you — such as surveys, advisory groups, and other opportunities.
Elevate members receive early access to research opportunities and ways to have a meaningful say in work that affects the CF community.
Why should I join?
Elevate brings people affected by cystic fibrosis together to help shape the future of CF. By sharing your lived experience and what matters most to you, you play an important role in guiding our work.
Who can join?
Elevate is open to adults ages 18+ who are impacted by cystic fibrosis. This includes people living with CF, as well as parents, guardians, caregivers, partners, and other family members. Everyone experiences CF in their own way, and each person brings unique perspectives and insights that are valuable to our community.
How do I join?
Joining Elevate is quick and easy — it only takes a few minutes to sign up.
How much time does it take?
It’s up to you. Elevate is designed to fit your life, so you can take part as often as you’d like. You might decide to do an online survey or join an advisory committee.
What can I take part in?
Elevate members have completed surveys, joined focus groups, and offered their expert input on committees. Opportunities come from both Cystic Fibrosis Canada and CF researchers. Here are some examples of Elevate projects.
How will I know my input is making a difference?
We’ll keep you in the loop. Each year, we’ll share an update on the projects Elevate members have helped shape. We may also ask your Elevate experiences and how satisfied you are with the process.
The registration form is detailed, why do you need all of this information?
All of your personal information is subject to Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s privacy policy and will be kept confidential. The personal information we collect from you for this community input initiative will be used internally to develop a better understanding of our community’s needs and to improve our stakeholder engagement. Your personal health information may be used in this program to target our communications and input efforts appropriately. Your personal information will not be disclosed outside our organization except with your consent or in accordance with the requirements of our privacy policy.
The sign-up form asks a lot—why do you need this information?
We know these questions are personal and we take your privacy seriously. Any information you share is protected under Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s privacy policy and kept confidential. We use what you tell us to better understand the needs of the CF community and to improve how we connect with and involve you. We won’t share your personal information outside CF Canada unless you give permission, or as described in our privacy policy.
